Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Assessment
What to Expect
Comprehensive psycho-educational assessments identify concerns that may be impacting an individual's academic performance. These typically include tests of cognitive functioning, academic skills, executive functioning, memory, and/or emotional functioning. A psycho-educational assessment typically includes:

Review of developmental, medical, behavioral, and family history

Review of report cards, teacher feedback, and results from any previous standardized testing

Assessment of cognitive abilities using comprehensive, standardized measures (including verbal and nonverbal abilities, working memory, and processing speed)

Assessment of academic achievement in the areas of reading, writing, math, and language abilities

Assessment of executive functioning skills, including attention, self-inhibition, flexible thinking, task initiation, and self-monitoring
